TERMS OF USE

The rules.

The short version

Using RepCheck

By using RepCheck you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. You need to be at least 13 years old to have an account.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us if you think someone else is using it.

Content you publish

A set you record is private until you publish it. When you do, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to store it, process it for verification, and show it to the people you published it to: a group, the global board, or anyone with a share link. That permission ends when you delete the set or your account.

Only publish footage you have the right to publish. Everyone identifiable in it should be there knowingly.

What is not allowed

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on RepCheck. Do not publish, or use RepCheck to send, anything that is:

The same goes for your handle and anything else you type. Do not harass other athletes, and do not try to break, overload or reverse the verification system.

Reporting, blocking and what we do about it

Anything published by someone else can be reported from inside the app. We review every report and remove content that breaks these rules. Depending on what we find, that can mean removing a set, removing a score from the boards, suspending an account, or deleting it.

You can also block another athlete from inside the app. Blocking hides their sets from you and yours from them, immediately, without telling them.

If something needs a human, email [email protected].

Scores, verification and the boards

RepCheck decides what counts as a rep, using the published standard and the same verification that runs on every attempt. Our server re-checks the count, and its result is the one that stands. We can remove a score, or an account, where we believe a result was faked or the verification was interfered with.

Verification is automated and it is not perfect. A score is our best determination, not a guarantee, and we may re-score or remove results as the standard and the system improve.

Exercise at your own risk

RepCheck counts reps. It is not medical advice, coaching, or a training programme, and it does not know anything about your health. Training is physically demanding and can injure you. Speak to a doctor before starting, stop if something hurts, and do not attempt a movement you are not ready for. You take part at your own risk.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, and everything goes with it. We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these rules, and we will say why where we can.

The legal part

RepCheck is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that a score will always be right. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you use RepCheck as a consumer elsewhere, you keep the rights your local law gives you.

Changes

If these terms change we will update this page and the date at the top, and announce a material change in the app before it takes effect.
